Our Projects

Somerset Training Hub are working in collaboration with partners, to deliver projects which address the five domains of the Health Education England STAR workforce tool.

Health Education England STAR Workforce Tool

This year (2018/19) Somerset Training Hub has been allocated funding from HEE to support general practice and primary care Workforce Transformation, in line with the Somerset’s Strategic Transformation Partnership (STP’s) workforce priorities.

We believe we can use education as a real lever for change and help the existing workforce feel more confident and capable to meet the challenges ahead. As such, we are working with the Somerset Local Workforce Action Board (LWAB), the CCG and STP workforce planning leads to deliver a range of projects.

These projects each address one of the 5 domains of the HEE STAR Workforce Tool – a tool designed to help providers understand their workforce requirements and also provide a range of potential solutions.

Somerset Training Hub will continue to provide a host of multi professional training and education events, details of which can be found on the Somerset GP Education Trust website, under courses.
