Our Practice & Town
We have a modern purpose built surgery with a dispensary situated within the building and care for about 6,700 patients in the local community. We’re also part of Symphony Healthcare Services, the largest GP provider in Somerset so benefit from the experience and learning across a network of 20 practices.
Lister House Surgery is based in Wiveliscombe, which is a thriving small town surrounded by beautiful countryside, set in the Brendon Hills on the edge of Exmoor. The town is a short drive away from the county town of Taunton, which has much to offer, including diverse shopping, restaurants, and regularly hosted international music and sporting fixtures.
The Role - 6 Sessions
All GPs working for us are paid on a salaried basis unlike Partners which means less risk for you as a GP and more time to focus on patient care. Our Employed GPs work flexibly according to the needs of the service and therefore do not work to a defined job plan at this level and contribute to areas such as QOF and QI and research projects providing a huge amount of variety to the role.
