Tawstock Medical Centre (TMC) is a two partner practice with just over 7000 patients. We moved to our purpose built state of the art building in 2014 and have recently had a conversion to add an additional 2 consultation/treatment rooms to our site. In addition to housing routine medical services we also have a treatment room which is used for minor operations. Many community team members (including counsellors, Somerset Drug Service, midwives, leg ulcer clinic, research, and palliative care) operate from our site and contribute towards the care we can offer and are able to deliver to our patients. We aim to deliver excellent care that enhances patient’s health and wellbeing in addition to our own.

We have a dedicated and enthusiastic team of 1 GP Partner and 1 Nurse partner who are responsible for and oversee all the care of their patients. The practice has 5 Salaried GPs, 2 Primary Care Practitioners, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Trainee Nurse Associate, 2 Health Care Assistants and 11 administration staff. We work under contract to NHS Somerset to provide care to currently 7060 patients registered at our practice. We are already positively contributing to collaborative work within our primary care network and look forward to the increasing opportunities ahead. Our population is also well supported by our own PPG, and superb community volunteer groups
