Minehead is a gateway to the Exmoor National Park, a vast expanse of rolling hills, deep valleys, and ancient woodlands. Wander through heather-covered moorlands, explore dense forests, or marvel at the panoramic sea views. The South West coast path starts in Minehead, offering walkers a beautiful experience of the coastline.

Beyond its natural wonders, the town boasts a plethora of activities for everyone. The historic West Somerset Railway, the longest heritage railway in England, offers a nostalgic journey through the countryside. Meanwhile, Blenheim Gardens, located in the heart of the town, provides a peaceful spot to relax and unwind. For families, there’s Butlin’s Resort with its array of entertainment, and the harbour area is always buzzing with activity. From here, you can go on fishing trips, join seal-watching expeditions, or simply enjoy a meal at one of the local seafood restaurants.

Minehead’s history is rich and varied. The town’s origins can be traced back to the Saxon era, and its growth was significantly influenced by the harbour, which was historically used for importing wool and exporting minerals. The Church of St. Michael, which dates back to the 15th century, and the charming thatched cottages that dot the old part of the town are testament to its historic charm.

For those seeking a blend of work and leisure, nature, history and culture, Minehead is the perfect destination.
